Together with three other friends, I am participating in the famous Hong Kong Oxfam Trailwalker later this month. The Trailwalker is a life-changing fundraising endurance event in which teams of four must complete a course of 100 kilometers (62 mi) in a set time limit of 48 hours. The race takes place on the MacLehose Trail and includes deeply indented and wild terrain as well as Hong Kong’s highest peaks.
Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the largest fundraising sporting events in Hong Kong. Since 1986, more than 93,000 participants have raised over HK$500 million to support Oxfam’s various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia.
The work that Oxfam does in Hong Kong (and around the world) is close to my heart. Most of you might know Hong Kong as one of the world richest cities but something not many people know is that a staggering 1 in every 5 people in Hong Kong live in poverty, 300,000 children do not get 3 meals a day and we have the highest income gap between rich and poor of any developed economy.
So please support me and my friends at Passkit, and 3Doodler in helping to raise vital funds to support people living in poverty and donate generously. You can donate to our fundraising page by visiting Oxfamtrailwalker.org.hk. Please note that donations are made in HK$ and US$1 is HK$ 7.7 in today’s exchange rate.
Listed below are all generous sponsors so far. Regardless of how much you are able to contribute, I love to add you to this list.
