Brandable domain name sales week 49:,, sold for $25,499 on Sedo this week. It’s a fantastic name and terrific brand but it won’t make my list because it’s also a common name, place and one of the avatars of the Hindu god Vishnu. It sold cheaply in my opinion. As for pure brandable sales, as we’re approaching the holiday season, it was a rather slow week with not a single five-figure sale. The top sale was which went for $9,500 at Sedo.

Some names I like on this week’s list include, and

Here’s this weeks list:

Please do keep in mind that these are the highest sales that have been reported at NameBio et al. This list is meant to help give you insights and is nowhere near complete as many sales are kept private and the major marketplaces specializing in brandable domains do not report their sales. Some domain name sales might not have been paid for yet.

If you know of any recent, verifiable brandable domain name sales please do let me know so I can include them in next week’s report.

  1. I was a bidder on Aeron but it went way beyond my maximum price point.

Another name that sold this week was for $3100 at the GoDaddy drops. I made some pretty high bids on that one too but I couldn’t keep up with the end user who was bidding against me 🙂 The domain is now owned by Healthfully Organic Market in NYC. Congrats to the new owner!

    1. I think it also goes to show that wholesale pricing is steadily increasing. But they certainly got a good deal against what they’d have paid a domainer. I was also watching this, but the risk/reward was MIA after it went above $1.5K imo. also went very high, and again wholesale pricing seems to be going a little haywire right now on brandables.

Many of the names Doron lists were wholesale buys, and right now I think margins are thinking down considerably at these rates. I suspect we’re going to get a big shake up in brandable space in the coming year.

    2. Just to correct you, Healthfully Organic Market was the previous owner who failed to renew the name.
New owner is still not known.

    3. is a fantastic name (it ranked #21 on the list). Will be interesting to see who picked it up (as someone else pointed out, Healthfully Organic Market in NYC. is the company that let it drop). One thing we can all agree upon and that is that they reseller market for brandables has been blowing up lately.

  2. Aeron is actually Aaron in Welsh, so it classifies as a name not a brandable and it went very cheap imo.
I also agree with you on, if it was mine I wouldnt sell it for less than 50k !!!
