The market for brandable domain names is on fire. We have six five-figure sales on the list this week with leading the chart with a cool $40,666 at The reseller auction site has seven more entries on this list as they have been moving a large number of nice CVCV domain names lately. reader Damian Hakert reported the sale of for $18,000. He purchased the domain name for a $225 BIN at GoDaddy’s auction site only one month ago. A fantastic flip.

    Been in this industry since 1998, finally I am looking at brandables, where is the best site to study this, what sell’s, best selling platform, etc?

    Also, what % of brandable .com sale, 1% industry average, or higher?

    1. Hi Jim, I would say the best places to learn about brandables is right here on and on where there is a dedicated forum section for brandables at

      There’s quite a few marketplaces gathering exclusively to brandables these days, the most popular being and but a lot of brandable domain names sell trough the regular channels such as for-sale landing pages or marketplaces like Sedo and Afternic.

      Personally, my sell-through rate is around 4% annually but most sellers report a lower number.
