It was a great week for brandable domain name sales with five domains selling in the five figure range. With Afternic and DomainNameSales.com still not reporting any sales data Sedo keeps dominating the leader board. One of the more popular threads on NamePros this week was started by the creator of Dnbolt, a site that aggregates sales data from BrandBucket based on the scraping of historical listing prices. BrandBucket isn’t too happy with the site as it prefers to keep it’s sales data private. The company also says the data published by Dnbolt is often inaccurate or not correct at all. If these sales would be verified by BrandBucket the following sales would have made it onto this weeks list: Ooki.com for $13,995 and Stellary.com for $5,635.
The more end-user sales are being reported the better it is for our industry so I hope to see more marketplaces opening up and start sharing sales data in the future.
Here’s this weeks list:
Please do keep in mind that these are the highest sales that have been reported at NameBio et al. This list is meant to help give you insights and is nowhere near complete as many sales are kept private and the major market places specializing in brandable domains do not report their sales. Some domain name sales might not have been paid for yet.
If you know of any recent, verifiable brandable domain name sales please do let me know so I can include it in next week’s report.
