The top-grossing brandable sale was an expired domain that closed at GoDaddy Auctions for a cool $64,500. The acronym doesn’t have any significant meaning as far as I know and there are only a few obvious end-users out there, including a German toy manufacturer and a health-tech startup based out of Costa Rica. Another noticeable sale of a CVCV domain was that of Zuji.com which went for $16,050 at DropCatch. Now Zuji is a company I know well because it used to be one of the larger online travel agencies in the Asia Pacific region and I remember booking a few holidays through their website in the past. According to this article in the SCMP, the company got into trouble in 2019 and lost its license.
