Brandable domain name sales week 18:,,

“Investors are paying end-user prices”. I’ve heard it over and over again since I started publishing this list. For years now, many have been saying that prices at auction are unsustainable and leave little margin for a profitable investment strategy. Clearly, outbidding everyone else must be working for some deep-pocketed investors as they have been doing it for years on end. Looking at the list below, at least four domains were purchased by the same investor. The same investor that also won for $43,000 in the same week.

Here’s this weeks list:

Domain NamePriceWhere$59,777GoDaddy$32,500GoDaddy$29,500GoDaddy$12,750GoDaddy$10,000Sedo$7,100GoDaddy$6,900Sedo$6,101DropCatch$6,087GoDaddy$5,200GoDaddy$5,100GoDaddy$5,050GoDaddy$4,888BuyDomains$4,888BuyDomains$4,888BuyDomains$4,756NameJet$4,588BuyDomains$4,400NameJet$4,388BuyDomains$4,150DropCatch

Please do keep in mind that these are the highest sales that have been reported at NameBio et al. This list is meant to help give you insights and is nowhere near complete as many sales are kept private and many major marketplaces do not report their sales. Some domain name sales might not have been paid for yet.

Meanwhile, here are some domains at auction that we like:

Doron Vermaat

Doron has over a decade of professional experience in marketing and business development for technology startups in both Europe and Asia. He is the product guy behind domain name management software, Efty. In his spare time, he moonlights as a domain name investor or can be seen trail running in one of the many country parks in bustling Hong Kong where he lives with his wife Fay, daughter Isla and their rescue dog Pepper.
