One of the most discussed names from last week’s list was SuperMind.com which sold for $12,500 via an Efty For-Sale landing page. Joseph Peterson commented “Sounds like using Efty.com landing pages saved that customer roughly $2,000, based on the 15% commission they would have paid elsewhere. At 30%, BrandBucket would have eaten even more: $4,000. And that’s assuming they would even have allowed an asking price that high” and later the seller of the domain commented, “BrandBucket valued SuperMind.com at USD 4795, which (fortunately) I deemed too low at the time”.
There’s been a lot of discussions lately about the high influx of low-quality names on the BrandBucket marketplace but it also seems they sometimes undervalue the better names. Putting a BIN (Buy-it-now) price on a domain is obviously more an art than a science which is why I personally like to have all my names listed as Make an offer and negotiate with end-users based on any intel I gather on the potential buyer such as their phone number, email and IP address, market trends and of course my current P&L.
Some names I like on this week’s list include Paby.com, eColor.com and of course HeroPay.com
Here’s this weeks list:
Please do keep in mind that these are the highest sales that have been reported at NameBio et al. This list is meant to help give you insights and is nowhere near complete as many sales are kept private and the major market places specializing in brandable domains do not report their sales. Some domain name sales might not have been paid for yet.
If you know of any recent, verifiable brandable domain name sales please do let me know so I can include them in next week’s report.
